adding a 2nd 'boot' drive

Brian

I rec'd a new Dell pc with XPpro on a solo hard drive. I
thought I could add my 2nd drive with W2K on it and add it
to the boot menu via boot.ini.
The boot.ini is:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft
Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft
Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

BUT
I get a bootup error that the hardware is not configured
for sart up. Boots to XP AoK.
SO what'd I miss>?
Thanks

How do I install Windows 2000 after I've installed Windows XP?
