Hi All

Its really nice to find such a helping group here..I hope you will help me
also..

The problem is I am not able to restart my laptop which Windows XP installed.

It gives me the message that Computer restart has not happen successfully.
And gives me a option to start it with either Safe mode , Safe mode with
networking, Start with the last running settings, Start windows normally.

I tried the option Start windows normally and Start with the last running
settings , after pressing enter the only thing I get is a black blank screen..
And it stays in that mode and does not go ahead…

Also I tried running in Safe mode after asking my Computer password again it
shows the same Blank black screen.

Could you please help me out..

Thanks a MILLIONS !!!

First, try a Repair install. Insert the XP CD, boot to it, when it offers Recovery Console or Install, choose Install. You will then be offered the option to perform a Repair installation.

tap the F8 key while booting and you will see the "safe mode" menu.

Choose start in VGA mode (enable VGA mode)
give that a shot, if that won't get you into XP your gonna do a repair
install of XP
