need help receiving emails from new MotoQ cell phone

just bought a new Motorolla MotoQ cell phone, and am trying to set it up to
have my emails routed to the phone.

so far i seem to be receiving emails, but cannot send any emails from the
phone.

also, my laptop computer now will not send/receive any.

need help with proper set up so I can check emails either from phone or
laptop.
