Need help locating why my XP is defauling to "Icon" view..........

Yeah, there might be a third party software to blame but It annoys me
when I set a folder to "list" and later on it goes back to "Icon"
view. I really don't want to reformat just to fix what I believe can
be fixed in the present Windows environment.

Hi,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000
