Need help/info on setting up a Fax Server and clients

Hello all,

We have a Windows 2000 Pro box that has 2 fax modems in it. Can we set this machine up as a Fax Server w/o using 3rd party software
or MS Exchange AND set up our other machines (mostly Win XP Pro's) to fax through this machine?

If the answer is NO, then can we take 1 of these modems and put it in one of our Win XP Pro machines or our Windows 2000 Server
machine or Windows Server 2003 machine (which versions? not sure--probably the least expensive versions--we are a small business--6
users) and set it up the same way (w/o extra software not already included with Windows/Win Server).

Any info/instructions/tutorials/websites on how to do this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide,

Conan Kelly

If you have a machine running Windows 2003 Server or Small Business Server,
it can be configured as a Fax server; neither Windows XP nor Windows 2000
server support Fax sharing.

10. Why can't I share my fax modem when using XP Fax?
