need advice please -slipstreaming

I have tried to slipstream sp2 into my XP/sp1a, and using nLite. it loaded
up okay right till the end then I got a message saying that the sp2 files
were corrupted or changed. Now I thinking of trying again manually BUT WILL
sp2 integrate into XP/sp1a or just with a gold version ?
