Need a little help automating dial-up connections

David

A coworker is spending a fair amount of time connecting
via dial-up to customer systems to transfer information.
He generally has tools once connected to the remote
system. He has asked me to look into finding him a way
to automate portions of his process by finding scripts
or programs/tools to initiate and terminate his dial-up
sessions. I'm sure this is possible, but none of the
rest of my group has the answer and after a few days
searching I haven't found an answer.

What are the tools/commands that allow control of
dial-up sessions?

Thanks in advance,

David
