How to *keep* connected my 'dial-up' connection

Hi:
Since last week, my computer has NOT been able to keep connected, even I
never
changed any programs. Unpredictaly, after 20 - 25 minutes,
the connection abruptly cut-off and I needed to 'connect' 2 - 3 times during
about 2 and a half period.

Then, in my attempt not to 'disconnect' my 'dial-up' connection,
I did the following;

"Tool<Internet Option<connections<Setting<Advanced<
and then, ... put *check" on 'Disconnected when connection may no
longer be needed"

However, the problem, 'dial-up' connection has NOT been solved.

My question is;

"How am I able to keep 'connected' my 'dial-up' connection?

Thanks for your help in advance.
