NDR with each sent email when Blackberry software is installed

Hello!

While fixing other issues unrelated to a client's email, I ended up
installing the latest version of the Blackberry software to eliminate an
incompatibility between it and his Palm software. With the Palm syncing to
Outlook using the latest software, the Blackberry Desktop Manager would
open, crash, pop up an error report, then close. Installing the Blackberry
software service pack 3 fixed that issue. Now he gets and NDR each time he
sends email from Outlook 2000 (on XP Professional).

----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
(e-mail address removed)
(reason: 550 5.1.1 <[email protected]>... User unknown)

I have not set up a Blackberry before, so I bow to your expertise on this
issue. He said that his company's Exchange server "sends a copy" of each
inbound domain email message to his Blackberry. I initially set up the
latest Blackberry software to use the "Enterprise Server" choice, thinking
that they had the Blackberry module on their server, but he started getting
the error messages noted in the attached files. I then disabled the
Blackberry redirector, but he still got the messages. I thought that quite
odd, since the "use redirector" checkbox was cleared.

I removed and reinstalled the software, this time choosing to let the
desktop software have control rather than the Enterprise Server, since the
email resulting in the NDR was being sent to the
"(e-mail address removed)" address. I still have the redirector
checkbox cleared, which I though meant it would be disabled. In fact, he has
a box on the Taskbar that states the redirector is disabled.

Why would he get a message sent to (e-mail address removed) with each
email he sends out? The recipient gets the original email, but one email to
"(e-mail address removed)" seems to go out with each message he sends.
What is "(e-mail address removed)"? Is that a Blackberry server?

How should the desktop software be configured? Should it be set to use an
Enterprise Server or just the Desktop Manager? If it should be set to use an
Enterprise Server, what email address should be entered?

I do not understand why the "(e-mail address removed)" address is being
sent messages each time he sends an email from Outlook.

Thank you for your help!
