Navigation bar in Outlook 2003 doesn't seem to 'activate'

Has anyone experienced the problem that I'm having with the Navigation
Bar on the left side, not 'activating' when they open Outlook? I
don't know that there's any way to post pictures in this forum, so let
me try to describe the issue. I open Outlook, click on the Contacts
tab/button in the Nav Bar on the left side. Under the heading "My
Contacts", there are two entries; one for Contacts, and one one for
Company Contacts in Public Folder. Neither one turns blue unless you
click on it. If you click on it, it turns blue (ie; 'activates'), but
the first contact in the list does not 'activate.' This is completely
different than how Outlook acts at home.

This is not specific to the Address Book. Neither the first item in
the email folder, or the Calendar, or any other item in the Nav Bar
are highlighted when you first go to that specific area.

Any suggestions?

try starting outlook with the /resetnavpane switch. (This will completely
recreate the navigation pane and delete any shortcuts or favorite folders
you created.)

That didn't work... any other suggestions? :) Is there any way to
post a picture of the problem, just in case that would help?
