Outlook 2003 Preview Pane - Contacts

I am unable to immediately view my Contacts upon clicking Contacts bar button
below main preview pane labled "All Mail Folders" when in mail mode. Instead
nothing happens.

While trying to clean up items appearing in "Favorite Folder" window at left
top of screen, I right clicked "Remove Contacts" from folder when the
Contacts folder was highlighted. It removed the Contact folder from that
Favorite Window folder.
It did not remove the "Contacts" bar button toward the bottom of the left
column below main window. However, when I now click the Contacts bar button,
nothing happens. If I'm in Mail mode, its stays in Mail mode. If I'm in
Calendar mode, it remains in Calendar mode. However, if right click the
Contacts bar button & click "Open in New Window," it does open into my
Contacts user face.

How do I reverse removal of Contact from preview pane, so my Contacts are
immediately viewable upon clicking Contact bar-button below main preview pane?

Thank you for your reply. Not familiar with switches. Have reviewed
information @ link but not clear.

Nevertheless, did click "Reset" button after right-clicking with cursor on
Contacts bar button and clicking "Navigation Pane Options . . . "

After doing so, Contacts re-appeared in Favorite Folders preview pane. When
click "Contact" screen shows Contacts screen. This is good, but how do I get
Contacts button bar below main preview pane to do the same. It still does
nothing.

How may I re-establish the link to whatever causes the Contract screen to
open when clicking that button bar?

Any additional insight would be appreciated. I will review link information
in the meantime.
