When we bought our new computer I didn't notice until too
late that the store techs put the computer in my
husband's name instead of mine. Could anyone tell me how
to change this?

Change the Computer's Registered Owner in Windows XP

Microsoft Registration: Start > Run and type: REGWIZ /R ,
and hit enter.

Another way to do this is through the Registry Editor. Do Start > Run and
type Regedit and press Enter. The key that you need is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft|WindowsNT\CurrentVersion
Double-click the RegisterOwner key, and change your husband's name to
yours. That's it.
