my spell check is not checking my RE line in a letter

since upgrading to 2007, my spell check is not checking my RE lines in
letters I type. It completely ignores it. Any suggestions?
 
Ensure that the style used for that line has its language option set to the
required language and that do not check spelling is not checked.
