my sound doesnt work

one day i was listening to songs that i copied onto my puter from cd's. then one day all of the sudden i oprn wmp(windows media player) and i get an error saying that i dont have a sound device installed. please please please help. u can contact me at (e-mail address removed). have subject as "help on sound problems" please.
