my screen keeps changing from 16 bit to 8 bit...

My screen keeps changing from the 16 bit to the 8 bit...all by itself...How
do I keep this from happening?

Either the display drivers are damaged, or the graphics card itself is
damaged.

Open Device Manager, Display Adapter and try removing it, updating the
drivers, roll back the drivers, whatever will work. Also look on the
computer manufacturer site for updated drivers for the display adapter.
