My rules only work when i first open Outlook

Hi. I have a problem with my rules in Outlook 2003.

I have XP and Outlook 2003, i have made no changes recently and my
rules have stopped working properly. they only run on the first mail
check as soon as I open Outlook. Any subsequent mail checks, either
automatic or manual just sends any new mail to the Inbox, and does not
apply the rules.

The rules work if I run them manually with "Run Rules Now"

I have tried deleting and re-creating the rules, turning all rules off
for serveral days etc...

Does anyone know afix for this

Hi,
It could be an issue with a corrupt profile,
You may want to create a new profile going through control panel, and double
clicking on the mail icon.....

Me too! Suddenly my Outlook 2003 rules, which used to run every time new
mail arrived from my Exchange server, now only run when I first open Outlook
or run them manually. No changes in my network except Windows Updates!
Pretty unusual that 2 users would experience the same wierd behavior at the
same time from corrupt profiles.

Hi,
This may be a long shot...
What happens if you configure the same exchange account on a different
computer or a different exchange acocunt on this computer..., just trying to
isolate the issue, coz i have come across similar issues concerning exchange
server.
