Firstly, performing a clean install using my original installation disk,
or the same slipstreamed with sp1, presents no problems.
Problem:
When slipstreaming my original installation disk with sp2, using various
methods and burn speeds, I consistently produced disks that during
installation would baulk at 50% unable to copy pro_seg2.swf (a file
required for the Windows XP tour).
At this point:
[1] Skipping the file allowed the the installation to complete with no
further problems (I didn't bother to run the tour).
[2] Swapping the sp2 disk with my original disk proceeded to copy
pro_seg2.swf and the other pro_seg?.* files, until the installation
stopped at 51% unable to copy some other file. Reinserting the sp2 disk
allowed the installation to complete with no further problems (I didn't
bother to run the tour).
Solution:
I slipstreamed the previously sp1 slipstreamed disk, with sp2, using
"nLite" (http://nuhi.msfn.org), producing a disk that gives a trouble
free installation.
