My previous window disappears

whenever i go to another window, the previous one
disappears. the new one replaces the old one, and I cannot
access the previous window. I have gone to tools/internet
options/advanced/and unchecked the box for "reuse windows
for luanching shortcuts". This has not worked. What can I
do?

Remove Yahoo companion is installed. It's the culprit.
