Can anyone help.
I just noticed, I have a "Pictures Downloaded from AOL" folder. I didn't
set up this folder and it seems like pictures/advertisements are being
downloaded there. They aren't pictures I necessarily want to save. Is there
a way I can stop this from happening? (I have Windows XP OS).

Thanks

Do you use the AOL service? You must have downloaded something from AOL, at some point for that folder to have been created.
I would simply delete the folder if it has no use for you.

This could also be the result of some spyware/malware that you inadvertently downloaded to the PC. Download and run the following programs for detecting/removing malware from your computer.

The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool helps remove specific, prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000:

Run these malware cleaners:

Ad-Aware

SpyBot S&D

Then, run a full system virus scan with fully updated definitions.
