background pictures

somehow a bunch of useless pictures from 'my pictures' folder turned up in my
desktop background pictures-how do I get rid of these, there is no delete
available and they aren't in' my pictures' anymore, the only thing I can find
out is that they are in some file called temporary and I cant bring up that
file even using search.????

The pictures that show up under Display Properties, Desktop are located in
these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\user name\My Documents\My Pictures
C:\WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

Also, go to: Start/Run then type in:
"%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer"
