My Pictures errors

When using "My Pictures" to rotate a jpg, I receive
frequent errors in explorer.exe (shimgvw.dll) that
closes "My Pictures" and sends the computer back to the
desktop. Any help would be appricated

How big are the pictures, and how much memory do you have?

If you have less than 256M, and the pictures are large, you might be running out of memory. Alternatively, if you have a lot of other programs open, or have a virus eating up memory, those might do it.

I'm not an XP expert, but this would sound like a memory error earlier Windows
