no picture in thumbnails

Thumbnails show no pictures. There one day, gone the next. I have short
trailers in ea folder that do play but no picture shows in thumnails anymore.
Tried run - regsvr32 shimgvw.dll but that didn't bring the pictures back.
Help.

Is this problem seen for a particular file type, or for all media file types? Meanwhile, run this command:

regsvr32 shmedia.dll
