My Pictures - "email this photo.."

Michael

I've been using XP Home for about 6 months now. One of
the featires I've enjoyed is after downloading photos
to "My Pictures" folder, I simply click on the picture,
answer the request to make smaller, and then click to the
left to e-mail said picture. Outlook Express launches
with the attached picture ready for addressing. Just
recently this last "execution" does not work. Following
clicking "email this..." a dialogue box "Microsoft
Exchange.." appears. I am lost as to how to fix as it
was. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press the Enter key.
Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI...

This should bring back the "Make picture smaller" window if this is what you
are missing.

Thanks for replying. I likely mislead you in not
illustrating the issue clearly enough. If I may:

I added Microsoft Office 97 last month. About two weeks
ago I discovered this anomaly: I choose a picture (works
fine), I choose "email this file" (works fine), I
choose "Make It Smaller" (works fine), at this point a
dialogue box appears "Microsoft Exchange Wizard" with
options of clicking "Microsoft mail" or "manually
configure information services". I thought this may have
been related to Outlook 97 being added by me earlier. I
removed Outlook 97. No change. I wish to return to when
after choosing "make it smaller", an outlook express e-
mail composition launched with my only having to complete
the addressee line.....absent of this, can you tell me
how to make my pictures smaller and thus more suitable
for e-mail?

There is a part of me that believes I may have to restore
XP.

Can you help me or should I just turn this thing off and
go upstairs and re-acquaint my self with my G4 Mac?

Kind Regards - Mike

I have posted with a very similar problem but it seems no
one has an answer. Let me know if you were able to
resolve the problem.
