My Network Places

Here's a turn of events. Normally I have trouble getting a networked
computer to show up in My Network Places. Now, I am entering into the
world of using Hot Spots with my wireless Windows 2000 computer, and I
would like to have my computer NOT appear there. I have read several
articles, but I'm missing something. My first thought was to disable
File and Network Sharing, that did not cause my computer to
"disappear". There are no folders shared and no printers shared.

I recall that a computer does not appear in My Network Places unless
File and Printer Sharing is enable, so I'm thinking that disabling
might be an effective way to prevent advertising my computer on a
wireless network. Please provide some guidance. Thanks.
