My wife is convinced someone is 'visiting' her machine everytime she logs on.
Even though she turns off the wireless connectivity and is not connected
what so ever she still feels someone is trying to access her personal files.

The question I have is about an area she is always monitoring 'My Network
Places' History. I understand there are links there that have to do with
files that are set up as shared and such, but what else causes links to be
placed there? There seems to be quite a few files that i have no idea why
they are there. Mostly .dll files. There are also Excel file links of
documents she had been working on and is convinced someone else put them
there because they were trying to access them - even though the laptop is not
connected to anything!!

Any help to convince her would be appreciated.
