My Internet explorer 6.0stoped working

Hi I have a laptop running Windows XP with internet explorer 6
The computer is configured LAN connection, via
broadband. About a month ago, I downloaded Mozilla Fire Fox and about
a week after that the internet explorer stopped working. It may
also be related to the fact that I was travelling around at that time and was
using a wireless connection while I was in the US. I now can't open
any URLs through the internet explorer. My other Microsoft products
have also stopped working, specifically MSN messager.

However my other products like Yahoo messanger and AOl messanger
continue to work (as does Mozilla Firefox). I have removed temproary
internet files, cleared out history and cookies and tried downloading
internet explorer 6 through Mozilla Firefox, but hve not been
successful. There is no problem with the hardware connectivity.

Could someone help??

Thanks

Hello,
I too am having trouble with all my browsers. I cannot connect to the
internet thru any of them. I can ping addresses on my side of the gateway,
but cant get past with my XP machine. I connected a Win9x machine an could
get out to the net. When you ping your NICs address do you get " Pinigng
(some type of degree symble) ( a funny looking y with dots on top) then the
rest of the ping info.

O.k. ...

I have discovered that my browser has been hijacked by CWS (on my hard
disk) and something called dynamic toolbar (on the registry). There
is also something called Alexa on the registry as well. Two
questions: is this what is causing the problem and two HOW DO I GET
RID OF IT!?!?!!?!!?

PLEASE HELP

Btw--I have tried fixing it with LSPFIX but has had no effect.
Looking for more ideas?

Thanks
