My IE7 crashes when I attempt to access a webpage from my email

My IE7 crashes when I attempt to access a webpage from my email (outlook
express). It attempts to open a new webpage with two tabs, the first says
"connecting", the second has the "http-----". within seconds it cashes taking
any and all other webpages I happen to have open.

This is the first time in over 10 years that this kind of garbage has
happened. It DOESN'T matter which computer I use !! This is a "new"
problem NOT associated with any 'new' setups.
