Guys/Gals, Some guidance please....On the Start Menu on the Right Hand Panel
there is a My Documents Link...I would like to create a new one for My
Downloads to point to a designated folder...Is this possible???

Also, On the send to menu I would like to create a send to my downloads
option also

Also, Am I able to designate any downloads through Internet Explorer to go
to a default folder that I choose??

John,

Adding a new folder in the right-side of the XP Start Menu is not possible
without a registry hack. Instead, you can Pin your "My Downloads" folder to
the left side of the Start Menu (the top quadrant). Or, add a shortcut to
the "My Downloads" in the Quick Launch bar for easy accessibility if you
need.

(Add "Pin to Start menu" option for folders)

If you still want to add a custom folder to the right-side of the XP Start
Menu, you can do so by replacing the "Set Program Access and Defaults" link.
To do so, your system needs to have a minimum of Service Pack 1 (along with
the hotfix 820291) installed. In that case, see my REG file in the following
post, which adds the "My Videos" folder in place of "Set Program Access and
Defaults" link in the Start Menu. You can customize the REG file using
Notepad and modify the target folder if you need.

(You need to use a news reader to download the REG file.)

Note: Be sure to backup the registry if you want to Undo any changes you've
made.

For Question #2: You can add custom locations to the Send To menu. See the
following article:

For Question #3: Internet Explorer remembers the last download location.
