My Documents problem

I'm using Windows XP on a laptop and I have configured it as such that
a specific directory on my hard drive is the default directory (instead
of My Documents).
Unfortunately every day WinXP automatically creates the folders 'my
ebooks' and 'my images' (and sometimes others too) within this
directory and it is driving me mad.

Is there any freeware that would enable me to disable this automatic
function of WinXP?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

My Documents is a virtual folder. If you right-click and choose Properties,
you'll find you can point it wherever you want.

Well, some googling turned up this:

Hmmm, reading Wald's reply, I suspect I mis-read your question. Sorry. :-)
