'My Documents' aways pops up when I log onto Windows, and I can't disable it

Poparad

Everytime any one of the users of this computer logs onto
Windows, the 'My Documents' folder pops up within seconds
in a Windows Explorer window. This started about 3 weeks
ago out of the blue, and I can't figure out how to stop it.

There are no links on any of the user's start menus in
the 'Start Up' folder, and there are no keys in the
registry telling Windows to load that specific folder upon
login.

I just can't think of anything else that will be causing
this. It's not a matter of logging off with the window
open and having it reappear upon relogging in, because it
will reappear even if the window is closed upon logoff.

Click Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Look in the right window for a value called Userinit. Its value should read:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

Including the comma at the end. If it reads anything else, change it.
