When I opened up IDE I found the two sites listed below....I did what I was
supposed to do regarding my DMA by deleting the first manager

Nvidia nforce 3 250 parallel ata controller (v2.6)
Nvidia nforce 3 250 parallel ata controller (v2.6)

I was unable to get rid of the second one because it wanted me to do reboot
after the first one....so I rebooted and when I went back to check with the
primary and secondary channels...i found some more wierdness

the primary channel had as its main version
WDC WD 1200JB-99EVA0
the secondary channel had as its master drive
NEC DVD_RW BD-35201
and the secondary channel had as its slave drive
Samsung CD-R/RW SW-252F

I am not sure what the WDC is in the primary channel? IS it supposed to be
there and what is going on? I hope someone Can help me.....because this is
getting wierd....the two sites in the secondary channel are ones that I am
familiar with.

I have xp with NVIDIA video card 5900 and have 2 GIGS Ram and 80 GIGS Of
hard drive space available. I Hope someone can help me...

WDC is your Western Digital hard drive.

Are the two optical drives using an 80 wire ribbon cable?

I am not sure but I do know that sometimes I can get my NEC to work
downloading DVD's and sometimes not. Since the latest update I have been
having all kinds of problems but had them before....Here is a partial log of
my latest attempt after I did the uninstall according to micorsoft
directions.....as you can see my DMA is still not working....what can I do?

I just completed a DMA and still my computer was unable to finishing even
the copying part of my DVD...here is the record....
