When I put a new Cd,Dvd in it brings up files on another CD i had put in
earlier. It will not reconize the new Cd or Dvd i've put in? I go into run
and browse and pull down D: drive and it has the same old files in it?? I
have no idea what to do. Also when i go in to device manager it brings up
that Code 41 is this all the same problem and how do i fix it. Im not good
with computers the easiest way the Better!

Code 41 error
Code 41
Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot
find the hardware device. (Code 41)

Recommended resolution

A driver was loaded but Windows cannot find the device. This error occurs
when Windows does not detect a non-Plug and Play device.

If the device was removed, uninstall the driver, install the device, and
then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver. If the hardware
was not removed, obtain a new or updated driver for the device.

If the device is a non-Plug and Play device, a newer version of the driver
might be needed. To install non-Plug and Play devices, use the Add Hardware
wizard. Click Performance and Maintenance on Control Panel, click System, and
on the Hardware tab, click Add Hardware Wizard.

How is the device described in Device Manager? Does it provide a make
and model?

Hope this helps.

First off, open your computer case and check to make sure that
the ribbon cable running from the motherboard to your DVD drive
is properly connected. Make sure you do not touch any
components other than the cable and the DVD drive. Keep one
hand in contact with the case frame at all times to discharge
static electricity.

If you find that the cable was properly connected, replace it.
If that doens't fix the problem, you may have to replace your
DVD drive.

If you have any reservations about performing any of these
procedures, get a qualified professional to look at your
system.

Good luck
