My Computer - System Properties

Can no longer right click on My Computer and go into
System properties, get message "access to specified
device, path or file is denied". I can go into Manage, I
can double click on My Computer and see all my drives,
just not system properties. Didn't find anything in local
security policy that would block this. This server was
rebuilt awhile back and never quite the same. Any ideas?
Or is there another way to get there?

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be a bad install of IIS. I removed
it and the problem disappeared. I'm not sure what the issue was, but it took
almost 20 minutes to remove and for most of that time it looked as though
the removal program was frozen, because there was no hard disk activity and
the status indicators in the dialog box didn't budge. It did finally remove,
however, and all of my properties dialogs are once again available. Hope
this helps.
