My computer is Welsh .... but my wife is American!

OK - in my excitement to see Windows in Welsh I downloaded and installed the
LIP ...

Now I can't get my computer to "speak" anything other than Welsh - which is
fine with me, however my American wife's Welsh isn't quite up tot the task -

Can anyone educate me on the process to change the language settings for
individual users? or simply to reverse the whole thing?

Diolch yn fawr - Thanks

Windows XP is a monolingual operating system. So, if you have your computer
speaking Welsh, that is all it can do. You cannot switch languages.

Open Control Panel / Regional and Language Options. On the languages tab
click the Details button. If multiple languages are present it should list
them here. There should be an icon in the system tray for choosing between
the languages listed. However, due to a known bug in XP, it may not be
present. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=294484
In that case, to switch languages you may have to press ALT-SHIFT in the
Welcome screen. If Windows is not set to show the Welcome screen on
startup, change this by opening the User Accounts item from Control Panel
and select Change the way users log on or off.

Note re. Jim's answer - To fully change the language in XP, the proper
language version has to be installed clean (i.e. it cannot be changed except
by a reinstall). However, regional settings do support multiple languages
that will display for many, though not all, purposes.

Thanks for your insight - I had already "fixed" it in a far less elegant
manner - I deleted the Welsh Language Interface pack in Add/Remove software
.... however, with your insight I will go at it this weekend to try and see if
I can be Welsh in Windows and my wife, who love her was having a great time
butchering Welsh while she was using my system!

Many thanks again

You're welcome.
(I learned about the missing tool bar icon after battling with a client's
dual Korean/English systems for a day while they seemed stuck in Korean
only. What a headache!)
