Can someone please help, its kinda of a small problem but iam worried about what it might mean. I have done a virus scan and ran a SpyBot Search and Destroy, also rebooted, nothing has worked.

If you right click anywhere on your desktop and goto properties and then go
to the desktop tab / Customize Desktop button. Here you can change ICONS to
the standard ICONS that appear on your desktop.

I hope this helps you out!

THanks

Could format. go to cnet.com and get icon manager. Also use norton to get 'em

yeah i just formatteda bout 2 weeks ago is what sucks, i do it about twice a year, really dont want to do it agai

I figured it out.. If anyone else ever has this problem.
Go to the properties on any folder you have created and click the change icon button. Then copy the address in the box
Next close all that and right click on your desktop, go to properties/desktop and then click on the customize desktop button.
highlight the My Computer ICON or which ever icon you have trouble with, click change icon button, and paste what you just copied into the address box. hit enter. Select the appropriate Icon and BINGO!! It changes right back!!

Alan,

Open Registry Editor and goto:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

Set the "Shell Icon Size" to 32
"Shell Icon BPP" to 16

Restart Windows.
