My Computer doesn't recognize my digital Camera

Hi,
My Computer doesn't recognize my digital Camera, I even
installed the USB Driver that was in a CD with the Camera
but nothing happened with that too and because I have
Windows XP it doesn't need any CD install for this as it
say in the Digital Camera Catalog.
By the way i connected my digital cam with my friends
computer and it was OK, and also his camera had the same
problem with my Computer that's why i think the problem
is with my computer and the USB connection on the
Motherboard?
Plesase Help me on this,

It sounds like you have already identified the problem!
First, check to see that BIOS has the USB Ports enabled.
Next, if ports were enabled, in safe mode, remove the USB Port drivers from
Device manager. A reboot should cause them to be reinstalled. Finally, some
MBDs hav a chip set that requires add in drivers for such things as the USB
ports. (VIA chipsets as an example) If the computer case has front panel USB
ports that you are trying to use, make sure that the internal cables are
connected properly to the MBD.
