MY computer and My Network Places (XP Pro)

The "My Computer" and "My Network" icon do not show up on
the XP desktop but do appear on the classic desktop.

The desktop folder under my log on ID contains the icons
so they should appear on the desktop in either the XP or
Classic modes or so it would seem.

Any ideas?

Try this right click on the Desktop, select properties,
goto the "Desktop" Tab>>Click "Custimize" and make sure
the two are check there.
