"My Computer" acting strange

When I click on "My Computer" it pulls up a list of all
the storage devices on my PC. But then, if I double
click any one of those devices, e.g., "Local Disk (C:)",
instead of displaying the folder/file list as it normally
does, it's now going into search mode, asking me input a
partial file name, etc.. This just started today, and as
far as I know I didn't change any settings. This happens
to all the devices displayed.

How can I get it back to the normal display (folder/file
list)? (I know I can right click and then click explore,
but I would like to make explore the double click
default). Thanks,
