my cd burner is not working, is there anyway to fix without having to reformat?

Re ur cD drive problem. I had drive that wasnt recognised as a recordable drive but followed a thread in "help and support" that told me to goto regedit & alter registry.
Cant remember what catagory thread was under but i think I seached for "copy photo" or "photo CD". Hope this points u in general direction.
