I have 3 years worth of business contacts in my account and have gotten the
2007 office professional from microsoft after finding out my 2003 office
professional was not genuin edition. I am worried about installing the 2007
version it says I should uninstall the 2003 first but I do not want to loose
my contacts. Will uninstalling the 2003 edition loose all my contacts? Will
the new edition 2007 automatically transfer all my contacts?

Uninstalling BCM leaves the database behind.

When you run BCM 2007 for the first time, it'll try to upgrade your
old database to a 2007 database. I say try because it doesn't always
work cleanly, but it nevers destroys your data.

As a precaution consider exporting all your data to a BCM file. If
2007 doesn't migrate your database, you can create a new database and
then import your old data.
