Mute and Volume LED display

Hi

I have a Vaio FE31Z Media Edition laptop and when i press the Mute or Volume
buttons the LED displays for these buttons no longer appear! Can you tell me
why and what i have to do to fix or re-install the software please?

That would be a question for Sony tech support as it is specific for your
laptop, not an XP feature.
