Microphone muted

HI

I am having trouble setting up my mic, recently I installed Battlefield 2
and teamspeak, however each time I set up my mic and go into the game my mic
is muted automatically. when I go back to the desk top and click on volume
the mute box for the mic is "magically" ticked for mute. Would you please
tell me how to fix it?

I have try use control panel and sound/audio devices but the setting doesnt
want to save and there alway some kind of default to mute the mic.

BF2 has its own built in chat throught mic. Did you install the ingame chat
in addition to team speak? With both programs activated, maybe a conflict.
If I remember right, do custom install of BF2 without the in game chat
program. (you can always go back and install the ingame chat later with out
full install) Not sure if this will work, but it was the first thing that
came to my mind when I read your post :)

UPDATE: go to ADD/REMOVE and click BF2 "Remove". The next screen gives you 2
options, 1-remove or 2- modify. Click on Modify. the VOIP is the BF2 ingame
chat. Here yoi can remove this in BF2 if it is installed without
uninstalling the entire game.

ok i uninstalled the built in chat in BF2, but its still not working.. I
installed bf2 from safe mode and i remember after the game was installed they
asked me to do a mic threshold check, however i was in safe mode and the mic
didnt work at the time.. would this effect the mic settings?

bf2 usually mutes microphones when you join a server, meaning you have to
alt-tab out and un-mute it, the problem i have is that my computer doesnt
like alt-tabbing bf2, and so i was wondering if there was a hotkey or
something that i could use instead of trying to go to desktop to do it???????
