Must shut down

For the last 2 weeks when I attempt to do a search on a
website my browser crashes with the message Ie has
encountered a problem an must shut down, please save any
work or it might be lost.
I have tried downloading any re installing I.E. tell me I
have a newer V. already installed...PLS PLS help
 
Will you PLEASE stop blaming EVERYTHING you don't have an answer for on
spyware???
