Internet Explorer keeps shutting down

I am running both IE and Firefox on my PC but they keep shutting down at what
seem to be random times.

I have sent an error report to MS and they advised me turn off the 3rd party
browser extensions (which I have done) but nothing has changed.

If anything it is more frequent.

Pls help.

Hi Jaymx :)

Please provide more detailed information such as, the version of Windows you
are using, and version of IE (i.e., IE6 SP1, SP2), exact information
regarding the problem, exact wording of any error messages, what other
troubleshooting or corrective action, if any, you have done thus far.

Additionally, not knowing your OS, try the following as it may apply to your
OS and see if it helps:

Try deleting the History and Temporary Internet Files *folders*
for the user account having the problem. See:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

also…

You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

Also, if you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.

Cheers Jan I.

I am running XP on a Mesh PC. It is IE 6.

The only error message I get is regarding the 3rd Party browser extensions
which I have followed but the remedy does not fix the problem.

I will give your recommendations a go.

Thank you ;-)
