A week or so ago after downloading "critical" updates for WinME, my Outlook
stopped funcioning. Could open it, but couldn't send/receive or even see
contacts/calendar.

Didn't have CD, so couldn't reinstall. Tried "Restore" to no avail. Posted
here - but responses didn't help (although thanks to you who responded!).

Finally, today I remembered I had downloaded this free program for backing
up Outlook and IE. Called BackRex. http://www.backsettings.com/

I decided to do another backup just in case. Then I saw it had restore
feature (of course - but I thought that it would only restore email, etc.).
It also restored REGISTRY settings for my Outlook!

Opened Outlook (2000 btw)... works fine again!!!

Just wanted to share. Think this program is worth having. Not sure if you
have to buy it after a certain time period - but I don't think so since
there's a "full version" available.

HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!

Well, the web site says that the only free version is a demo and that the
real program costs money.
