Must "force" a send

Outlook 2002. I click Send from within an email, and the email goes to my Outbox. It does not actually send till I click Send/Receive, which is quite annoying. How can I make Outlook send the email when I click the Send button? I use a dial up line.

Look in Tools | Options | Mail Setup tab and see if "Send immediately when
connected" is checked.
