Must enter a Category

Every once in a while the message "You must enter a category" pops up in Outlook. I know it usually happens when you try to save/close an appointment in the Calendar, but sometimes it happens with a regular mail message. Most of the users will click cancel, which closes the message they are working on. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Adam, I never heard that Outlook forces you to assign a category. Do you use
any Addin that does that?

It only forces you to choose a category in the shared public calendar, not in my personal calendar. But the problem resides in the message appearing randomly with mail messages. And when you click cancel, the message closes. It usually happens when the message has been open for a while. Since it is open a while, it gets saved in the draft folder, so the problem is more of an annoyance than anything else.
