In Outlook 2003, I am entering new tasks in a filtered view (e.g. Category
"Work"). The problem is that when I enter a new task, the Category is not
autofilled to that filtered category. This is a hassel, because after
entering the task, I don't see it on the list. I have to "view by categoy",
select the task that I just created and then change the category. This
effectively doubles the amount of time to create a new task in Outlook.
If I create a new task on my hand-help Pocket PC in a filtered view, it
automatically fills in the categories with the categories in which the
filtered view defines. This is a functional difference between how the
hand-held works and how Outlook works. It would help tremendously if I
didn't have to remember to do things differently in Outlook than on my
hand-held.
Thanks,
Bill Alexander
