Continuous request to "enter network password"

Outlook 2002, SP3:
The message "Enter Network Password" pops up quite regularly (maybe every
hour or two), and I'm not sure how to stop that happening, even though I
check the box "remember password". It usually pops up twice in a row- in
other words after the first time i enter the password, I then have to enter
it again.
I am on a computer that is stand alone, but has several different email
accounts.
Thank you!

For what type accounts? In case of POP3 and when working with 2 accounts
that use the same POP3 server; configure separate send/receive groups for
each account. Outlook checks all accounts at the same time. When you have
accounts that use the same POP3 server this will go wrong as you cannot
logon to the same POP3 server with different creadentials at the same time.

I only have one email account on my computer and "ENTER NETWORK PASSWORD"
keeps popping up ever five minutes or so. This is getting very annoying. Can
someone tell me how to stop this. I do not know why it is happening but want
it to go away.
