music stops?

for some reason when im listing to music in winamp and it has happened to me
while listening in media player that for some reason the music just stops
playing. the sound stops completly. i check all the speaker wires and all the
connections and they are fine the only way it comes back is if i restart. and
the weird thing is when i restart the sound works again and then sign off
sound for windows plays??? but just before no sounds at all would work in
anything? why is this happening? i have all the updates. this is a brand new
computer!

If this is a "brand new" computer, check with tech support of the manufacturer/
vendor before tinkering with it and voiding your warranty. It sounds like you
have a soundcard issue.
